History

Josson was born into a noble knightly family of Veria. His father owns land and Josson reaped the benefits of this position throughout his life. He and his younger brother were trained in martial traditions by his father, and they have always had an innate distrust in magic, having an uncle who abused magic, causing a schism in the family. So when Josson's magic showed itself it was difficult for his entire family. When the school showed up to take him away, Josson told his family that this is the best way to learn how to combat magic and that if he could control it himself, he could better understand it in order to stop those who would abuse it.

Relationships

Josson is closest with Naqia, as they both share a love to martial combat, and they found common ground in other areas, as well. He maintains close relationships with as many of his class as he can, but ultimately he feels a touch superior to many of them, leaving him somewhat removed from the rest.

Personality

Josson is very confident and the air of nobility surrounds him. Strangely, this has not lead others to resent or hate him, but instead his charming personality has lead the others to take a liking to him. His education throughout his life has given him knowledge of many aphorisms and proverbs, and he frequently quotes them in appropriate times. He enjoys the food, drink, and general nature of high society that he grew up in, but is perfectly content with "slumming it." He is very protective of those around him, feeling that it is his duty to defend all those unable. He would, in fact, give his life for anyone in need, not just his friends, for a noble death in service to his people is the greatest gift he could give.
